4 Ways To Fail In MLM!

There are many articles that have been written letting us know how to succeed at MLM or network marketing. There are no articles that tell us how to fail at MLM or network marketing! There are four things that you can do to guarantee that you will fail in any MLM business! These 4 things are like puzzle pieces. If at least one of them is wrong, the puzzle won’t work!

The first thing that can lead to failure in your multi-level marketing business is choosing a company with the wrong product to promote. If your company has a product or products that can be easily purchased at the local grocery store or drug store then chances are the products are not unique enough to keep people coming back for more.

Choosing a company with a product that has a lot of competition is another way to fail with your product choice. If you have a lot of competition within the network marketing industry then you have put yourself into a position that you have to constantly convince potential customers and/or business partners that your product is better than the others.

The second thing that can lead to MLM failure is choosing a company with the wrong compensation plan. All multi-level marketing compensation plans are not created equally! You need to find a comp plan that has a plan for start-up income as well as ongoing residual income. Don’t get overly excited about the product and forget about the compensation plan. It will make a huge difference.

The 3rd piece of this puzzle is choosing a team to join. Once you find a company that you feel good about you need to really think about who your sponsor will be. Joining the wrong team can quickly lead to failure in this industry. If the comp plan is strong then you will be directly benefiting from the efforts of your team members. You need to make sure that your team is strong and that the team considers this to be a business rather than a hobby!

The final puzzle piece that has to be right is the lead generation system that you use. Most people begin and end their multi-level marketing career only talking to a few family members and friends. That is the extent of their lead generation. Believe it or not there are thousands of people who are looking for an opportunity every single day. These are the leads that you need to focus upon.

Choosing the wrong product, a weak compensation plan, the wrong team and the wrong lead generation system are the top four reasons you will fail in the MLM and network marketing industry. Think of these items as puzzle pieces. If any of the pieces don’t fit then the puzzle will not work correctly.
